Troop Fees

About Troop 98 Fees

Troop 98 is funded by troop fees and fundraising activities. We collect an annual troop fee and additional fees for campouts and other outings. The troop fee is due by September 30 of each Scouting year for all Scouts and volunteers/adult leaders, or at the time of registration throughout the year.

For the 2024-2025 Scouting year, the annual troop fee is $100 for youth and $20 for adult volunteers/leaders.

These fees go directly to Troop 98 and cover the costs of providing a great Scouting program. This includes our unit membership fee to Scouting America/BSA, a Scouts BSA handbook, patrol patches, ranks, awards, recognition, and merit badges earned by our Scouts. It also supports St. Anthony of Padua Church, our chartering organization for nearly 70 years, and other supplies and equipment needed for our Scouting program.

Troop 98 and the Scouting America National Capital Area Council (NCAC) are committed to ensuring that no youth is turned away due to an inability to pay any Scouting fees. Click here or scroll down to learn how to request financial support from NCAC and Troop 98.

Paying Your Troop Fees

Troop Fees can be paid online via PayPal; please note the total includes PayPal transaction fees.

Please include a note of what and who you are paying for in the "What's this for?" text box.

Questions? If you have questions or concerns about paying a Troop Fee, contact our Troop Treasurer by email or ask for them at a troop meeting.

Paying Other Fees

When paying a custom amount, please contact the Scoutmaster or Troop Treasurer to confirm the amount owed before making payment

Requesting Financial Support for Scouting Fees

Ensuring No Youth is Turned Away

Both Troop 98 and our National Capital Area Council (NCAC) are committed that no youth will be turned away for an inability to pay any Scouting Fees. All requests are kept private and confidential.

Make a Gift

Thank You to everyone who has given financial gifts to ensure Troop 98 can offer this critical support. If you would like to make a gift to Troop 98 to ensure every youth who wants to experience the Troop 98 Scouting program has the opportunity, please contact our Scoutmaster. Troop 98 is a program of St. Anthony of Padua Church, which is a registered non-profit organization.
