Troop 98 likes to camp! We camp at least once a month and during summer, we're off to Goshen Scout Reservation and onto a BSA High Adventure Base selected by our Patrol Leaders' Council (PLC)!
A woggle is a braided neckerchief slide using a turk's head knot, a decorative knot with interwoven strands forming a closed loop. Troop 98 uses a set of distinctive colors to recognize the total number of camping nights a Scout has completed. A key to Troop 98's Camping Nights Woggles is below.
One Frost point is earned for each degree below freezing recorded during a campout, Scouts must be in a tent or shelter; cabin camping does not count. Temperature is determined by the nearest official National Weather Service station to the campsite; however, a leader’s on-site thermometer is also accepted. A Scout that has earned 32 Frost Points is recognized with a distinctive two-color "Frosty Woggle."
